Ryan's Goldendoodles Some history on the Goldendoodle
|
The Goldendoodle is a a cross breed between the Golden Retriever and Standard Poodle, hence "Goldendoodle". The dog was first developed in the early 1990's, originally designed to be a suitable guide dog to disabled persons with vision impairment who suffered from allergies as well. The intentions were to combine the lovable Golden Retriever personality with the intelligent Standard Poodle to make the ideal dog. Goldendoodles were found to be easy to train as well as happy-go-lucky, but most of all, a friendly dog. Yet, the Goldendoodles were not causing symptoms that allergy sufferers had previously experienced when training their guide dogs. This crossbreed was so much of a success not only with the trainers and the disabled, but their popularity and good looks took off and many people like yourself have found them to be a desirable, ideal companion. This is also why the Goldendoodle has made the popular television show, Animal Planet, Dogs 101 television series, a top choice of the possible "perfect breed.' |
